Product Discovery Sprint
The goal of the 5 day discovery sprint is to flush out core issues, discover ideas, hone target customers, user goals, strategies and finish with a high-fidelity prototype to present in 5 live customer research sessions.
Day 1 - Goals
Business goals, product goals, customer target, and long term goal to become "the go to app for printing books and an extension of a larger Blurb ecosystem."
Day 2 - Competitive Analysis
Brainstorm and sketch ideas. Lightning demos of competitor and favorite apps. Sketching.
Day 3 & 4 - Decisions
Finalize what idea we’re prototyping. Storyboarding. Recruit potential customers to show our prototype. Using proto.io create a high fidelity prototype.
Day 5 - User Interviews
Setup research lab and prepare interview script. Interview 5 candidates for 45mins.
Problems and Opportunity
New and existing Blurb customers want to create simple photo books on their phone. It should add value at each phase with the best and right options for customers.
It should feel effortless (like magic) and be able to create a book on the go under 5mins.
The Blurb mobile app also allows for growth opportunity in Blurb’s ecosystem. And without a Mobile product hopes of Acquisition is diminished.
